Kumihimo is a time-honoured technique of Japanese braiding in which threads or fine cord is braided into a decorative woven braid or fine rope. A foam disk serves as a handheld loom and depending on its shape, will produce a flat or round braid. Kumihimo has become one of the most popular forms of braiding, from the friendship bracelet to complex decorative hair, clothing or home decor adornments. Kumihimo is both accessible and fun for all ages!
Kumihimo thread packs are a convenient and affordable way of accessing colour coordinated threads, ideally suited to the art of Kumihimo.
