Collection: Sashiko

Sashiko is a traditional and ancient Japanese needlecraft technique, both decorative and functional in its use. From the Japanese 刺し子(literally meaning'little stabs'), Sashiko has become popular worldwide as a way of embellishing and mending clothing and accessories, as well as creating stunning quilts and decor items. Traditionally worked on indigo-dyed blue cotton cloth, a series of small running stitches are worked in decorative patterns, forming the foundation of this popular technique. Apart from the original blue and white, Sashiko is now worked in a myriad of colours and textures.
