The design is worked in counted cross stitch on perforated paper, with added beadwork embellishment. This project makes a charming Christmas tree ornament for you to keep, or to gift to a friend.
If you have not worked on perforated paper before, this may be of interest - perforated paper dates back to the Victorian era, and has been used by needleworkers to create embroidered pieces to be used as cards and ornaments. This paper is extremely firm and resists tearing but can be cut with scissors or a craft knife. Wrinkles can be removed using a warm iron.
This kit contains glass beads, charm, 14 count perforated paper, stranded embroidery floss, needles, chartered design and full instructions.
