Scheepjes "Perfect Picnic" 2026 CAL Colour Crafter Yarn Kit - Picnic on the Mountain

Scheepjes presents the official Scheepjes 2026 Crochet-A-Long (CAL). The Scheepjes "Perfect Picnic" CAL has been developed in collaboration with crochet designer Eleonora Tully of Coastal Crochet.

One of Eleonora's beloved blanket designs makes its Scheepjes debut in six brand-new colour palettes. Inspired by idyllic picnic locations, each colour palette brings the atmosphere and beauty of a special destination to life.

With front and back relief stitches, bobbles, simple Tunisian crochet, and a join-as-you-go design, the blanket offers a fine balance between familiar and new techniques, with plenty of opportunities to build confidence as you discover colour, texture, and various crochet techniques.

The CAL runs from October 21st to December 9th, 2026. Thanks to Eleonora's extensive video tutorials and the expert support of Scheepjes moderators in the official Facebook groups, participants can focus entirely on the joy of crafting, knowing that help is always within reach. Participants can choose from six carefully curated colour palettes, distributed across two popular Scheepjes yarns: Colour Crafter and Cotton Create DK. The pattern will be available free of charge via the Scheepjes web site. New pattern parts will be released weekly throughout the CAL, typically on Wednesdays at 12 noon central European time, accompanied by video tutorials via Eleonara's YouTube channel.

Please note: each kit contains all the yarn needed to complete the project, plus a limited edition tote. The kit does not included the instructions or crochet hooks required to work the design. 

This "Picnic On the Mountain" finished blanket, crocheted with Scheepjes Colour Crafter, will measure approximately 135 x 105cm after blocking. You can crochet this version with a 4.00 and 4.50mm crochet hook, or the hook size required to achieve the correct gauge. Crochet hooks are not included in the kit.

This Colour Crafter CAL kit contains 14 balls of Scheepjes Colour Crafter (100 grams each) and a unique Scheepjes Perfect Picnic tote bag measuring 42 x 32cm.
